❓MYTH OR FACT ❓I should eat fruit on an empty stomach. 🤔

Some “experts” claim eating fruit slows your digestion so that food ferments in your stomach, creating a long list of issues.

But …

👉Fact 1: Eating does slow your digestion, a little.

One study found people who ate fruit fiber had a stomach emptying rate of 82 mins, vs. 70 mins for people who didn’t eat fruit fiber.

This is not long enough to cause food to spoil in your stomach.

👉Fact 2: Your stomach is specifically designed to prevent the growth of bacteria. Stomach acid helps kill bacteria and prevents microbial growth.

👉Fact 3: Slower digestion can actually be a good thing, as it can help you feel full for a longer period of time.
